The Lonely Shakespeare Collective’s Troilus & Cressida:

“Jess Brownell has a ball playing a feisty Thersites, described on PlayShakespeare.com as “the most determinedly unpleasant person in all of Shakespeare”…Physically her fight with Jack Powers’ brawn-over-brain Ajax is a high point of the first half…Brownell’s tough Hector is not to be trifled with while her Aeneas delivers her messages clearly.” – theatreview

The just be collective’s Out of Darkness:

“Brownell is thrilling to watch, a deft dancer and performer, her stress is palpable.” – Art Murmurs

“This is a show that taps into your social conscience and makes you think…The production has everything it takes, though: the sound, the visual, the mind, the heart, and the all-encompassing humanity.” – theatreview

Allens Lane Theatre’s Proof:

“The opening scene knocked me out of my seat…Catherine is not an easy role…Catherine has many sides; she can also be fun-loving and affectionate. An actress has to seize such moments and Jess Brownell gets it right.” – Chestnut Hill Local

“Betsy really brought the house to life. Very believable lady told the legend of Betsy and the design of the flag. House is neat but her acting was perfect.” by yahootraveler64

“This is a stop on the hop on, hop off bus tours. It was really interesting to visit Betsy Ross’ house to see how she and her family lived. The house is small but perfectly formed and full of history. I enjoyed the actress playing Betsy Ross – she stayed in character the whole time.” by jbjo13
